Through a combination of local security officer expertise and certified information security professionals from HUIT, all Schools and departments are able to have the appropriate level of protection for their teaching, learning, research, and business information.
Consulting and Education
Provides online/in person courses and outreach programs, risk assessments and general consulting. Assists the community with making the best decisions.
Secure Computing
Provides a variety of tools to protect passwords and systems, identify vulnerabilities and to monitor for incidents. Assists the community with maintaining secure systems and data.
Incident Response and Investigation
Monitors University systems, triages incidents and coordinates a response. Assists the community with mitigating the impact when a privacy or security related event is reported.
Policy and Governance
Publishes and maintains University policies. Reviews and recommends remediations when an exception to policy is required. Assists the community with mitigating and tracking risks.
